A thing to be achieved

As much as I want to update this space, I tend to forget what I want to rant about. So I'll always end up closing the browser and off to hog on other sites.
Anyway, without realizing it, we are almost reaching mid of February. How time flies, huh? I remembered clearly the time when I was literally counting down to the end of my attachment before the real deal begins for me. Few of my colleagues were asking whether I will sign the contract or will I move on to something more challenging. Oh well, I'm still keeping my options open.
Apart from that, everyone has been asking about my commitments to this and to that. Even those who have known me since KC days asked the same questions; year in and year out. Besties not included.
As most would know, besides working I am also teaching/coaching Silat over at a few CCs and NTU in the evening. Although it's like a side income kind of thingy, it is the responsibility that I've to shoulder when I made the decision to learn this sport in Sec 2; especially when the coach was my late dad. So in a way it has become like a "family activity" every weekend. Now, the responsibilities are being shouldered between my brother and I. The safety of our athletes, the trust those parents gave us to input skills and knowledge to their children who are willing, determined and has the passion to learn are just a few to name of.
So to those who kept saying that everyone has their own commitments and such, yes each of us has our own commitments to be dealt with. For most of you, it is solely based on your interest and volunteerism. As for me, let just put it as a 'family business' and passion. Beside, it has since become my top priority ever since I was given the Instructor's belt.
Although it can be quite tiring and hectic at times, at the end of the day this is the path that I've chosen. The path which teaches me all about perseverance, endurance as well as dedication. Besides, I've been doing this since I was in Secondary 5. Only I have the right to complain or rant about my displeasure. So please, do not question me again.
"Sometimes we have to lose somebody completely before we are able to figure out what they really mean to you."
